Language apps often optimize for streaks instead of understanding.

Russian-speaking learners need clear explanations of how English grammar differs from what they already know. Many products fragment the curriculum, require a subscription, or stop working when connectivity is poor.

Eos Learning turns a broad grammar curriculum into 12 focused weeks with explanations, practice, checkpoints, and review.

  • Explain English structures with Russian-language context and direct contrasts.
  • Move from foundational concepts to increasingly connected grammar.
  • Combine short theory, examples, drills, and weekly checkpoints.
  • Keep progress on the device so the full experience works offline.
  • Require no account and collect no personal learning profile in the cloud.
  • Offer the complete program for free rather than placing later lessons behind a paywall.
The AI boundary

AI helped build the curriculum; it does not sit between learner and lesson.

I used AI as a development partner to accelerate outlining, example generation, comparison, and review. The shipped app remains deterministic and offline: learners are not waiting for a model, sending answers to a cloud service, or receiving unpredictable explanations.

Every lesson is part of an authored sequence that can be tested, revised, and delivered consistently.

Engineering ownership

Product restraint made the app more useful.

I shaped the learning path, bilingual content system, offline data model, progress behavior, interaction design, mobile build, and public presentation. The key product decision was to remove dependencies that did not help the learner: no account system, no subscription machinery, and no runtime AI requirement.
